Hepatic metastases from a carcinoid tumour are characteristically hypervascular and this hlm of the arterial phase of a coeliac axis arteriogram shows multiple tumour blushes throughout the liver. A similar appearance is produced by other hypervascular hepatic metastases such as those from a renal cell carcinoma.
